What we really are matters more than what other people think of us.

We have to shed mutual bickering, shed the difference of being high or low, develop a sense of equality and banish untouchability. We have to restore the conditions of Swaraj prevalent prior to British rule and live like children of the same father.

My favorite things in life don't cost any money. It's really clear that the most precious resource we all have is time.

Without health life is not life; it is only a state of langour and suffering - an image of death.

In domestic government, unity and cooperation are essential requisites. 

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.

A coward is incapable of exhibiting love; it is the prerogative of the brave.

In the future society, i.e. the communist society that we want to build, we are not going to establish charity institution, as there shall be no needy or poor, and no alms-giving and alms-taking.

Exercise utmost care in selecting  your life partner because an asset is an asset, a libility-a liability.

The farther backward you can look, the farther forward you can see. 

The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world's problems.

Everything is political. I will never be a politician or even think political. Me just deal with life and nature. That is the greatest thing to me.
