Religion is all bunk.

Great teachers emanate out of knowledge, passion and compassion.

The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.  

Physical comforts cannot subdue mental suffering, and if we look closely, we can see that those who have many possessions are not necessarily happy. In fact, being wealthy often brings even more anxiety.

Because of lack of moral principle, human life becomes worthless. Moral principles, truthfulness, is a key factor. If we lose that, then there is no future.

The end of labor is to gain leisure.

Freedom is never dear at any price. It is the breath of life. What would a man not pay for living?

It is the quality of our work which will please God and not the quantity.

Both oligarch and tyrant mistrust the people, and therefore deprive them of their arms.

Fear is a double-edged weapon: it can force you to do something or prevent you from doing something.

This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness.

The release of atomic energy has not created a new problem. It has merely made more urgent the necessity of solving an existing one.
