A dream doesn't become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work. 

One of the very important characteristics of a student is to question. Let the students ask questions.

Constant development is the law of life, and a man who always tries to maintain his dogmas in order to appear consistent drives himself into a false position.

When you are discontent, you always want more, more, more. Your desire can never be satisfied. But when you practice contentment, you can say to yourself, 'Oh yes - I already have everything that I really need.'

A prisoner of war is a man who tries to kill you and fails, and then asks you not to kill him.

 It is the prime responsibility of every citizen to feel that his country is free and to defend its freedom is his duty. 

Life has its struggles which require bravery and vigour. Thus it needs much more courage to live than to die.

Confession of errors is like a broom which sweeps away the dirt and leaves the surface brighter and clearer. I feel stronger for confession.

I am confident I will set foot again in Tibet in my lifetime.
