My religion is very simple. My religion is kindness.

Whatever I have tried to do in life, I have tried with all my heart to do it well; whatever I have devoted myself to, I have devoted myself completely; in great aims and in small I have always thoroughly been in earnest.

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is.

We shall draw from the heart of suffering itself the means of inspiration and survival.

The end of labor is to gain leisure.

When you practice gratefulness, there is a sense of respect towards others.

We must, indeed, all hang together or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately. 

There's not going to be a World War III, because there is no one to have World War III with.

Trees are the earth's endless effort to speak to the listening heaven.
