All the great things are simple, and many can be expressed in a single word: freedom, justice, honor, duty, mercy, hope. 

Emancipation from the bondage of the soil is no freedom for the tree.

We gain freedom when we have paid the full price.

Love does not claim possession, but gives freedom.

 It is the prime responsibility of every citizen to feel that his country is free and to defend its freedom is his duty. 

It can be simplified easily, if an individual works his heel peak for the freedom of the nation, he might get punished by the Englishmen, but if a group of individuals form a community to fight for freedom, they get success. 

Blood and tears are going to be our lot, whether we like them or not. Our blood and tears will flow; may be the parched soil of India needs them so that the fine flower of freedom may grow again.

Where freedom is menaced or justice threatened or where aggression takes place, we cannot be and shall not be neutral.

Freedom is not given - it is taken

We should have but one desire today - the desire to die so that India may live - the desire to face a martyr’s death, so that the path to freedom may be paved with the martyr’s blood.

Give me blood and I will give you freedom!” One of his most quoted lines is from a speech that Bose delivered to the soldiers of Indian National Army that he commanded along with Mohan Singh.

So long as you do not achieve social liberty, whatever freedom is provided by the law is of no avail to you.

Today we are engaged in a deadly global struggle for those who would intimidate, torture, and murder people for exercising the most basic freedoms. If we are to win this struggle and spread those freedoms, we must keep our own moral compass pointed in a true direction.

We, the People, recognize that we have responsibilities as well as rights; that our destinies are bound together; that a freedom which only asks what's in it for me, a freedom without a commitment to others, a freedom without love or charity or duty or patriotism, is unworthy of our founding ideals, and those who died in their defense.

We here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain - that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom - and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.

Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves; and under the rule of a just God, cannot log retain it. 

The names of Dingane and Bambata, Hintsa and Makana, Squngthi and Dalasile, Moshoeshoe and Sekhukhuni, were praised as the glory of the entire African nation. I hoped then that life might offer me the opportunity to serve my people and make my own humble contribution to their freedom struggle.

Our single most important challenge is therefore to help establish a social order in which the freedom of the individual will truly mean the freedom of the individual.

I will not leave South Africa, nor will I surrender. Only through hardship, sacrifice and militant action can freedom be won. The struggle is my life. I will continue fighting for freedom until the end of my days.

Communists have always played an active role in the fight by colonial countries for their freedom, because the short-term objects of Communism would always correspond with the long-term objects of freedom movements.

There is no such thing as part freedom.
